Philanthropy has been a big theme for 2024 thus far. We just wrapped The Arizona Pet Project Hero Awards gala at the Omni Montelucia, with a special appearance of adoptable dogs from The Almost There Rescue. ReFashioned Art donated a custom framed artwork titled Don't Let Your Colors Fade to the silent auction, which raised thousands of dollars that evening.
The Arizona Pet Project Hero Awards gala is an annual event, which honors community members who have benefitted from their services, as well as community members who have gone above and beyond to help others. The silent auction for the Hero Awards annual Gala was chock full of luxury items, such as world class trips, jewelry, wine, and designer bags. Per usual, this was an incredible orchestration of events all evening with adoptable dogs from Almost There Rescue who even got adopted (one of my favorite highlights)!
Of course we couldn't resist taking part in the bidding and further supporting the cause! We took home a few of our own auction items that we won and even another trip to Mexico! (we just returned from Mexico City Art Week!) This is year two that ReFashioned Art has contributed Artwork and supported this cause. Thank you Lindsay Fricks for introducing me to this organization, and that they do to help vulnerable members of our community, and preventing animals from ending up homeless or in shelters.
