A girl & her dog…
Wow, what a month November was. Happy to share I'm ending it on a high note. And being able to contribute to my favorite organizations is a true blessing- one that I hope you are able to take part in this year too. I want to share this though, because giving is not just for a day labeled 'giving Tuesday' but for every and any day that you can give.
For me- my focus right now is on art, fashion, sustainability and philanthropy. And they are all interconnected. I use my art and fashion work to fuel my sustainability advocacy and my philanthropic efforts. A cause that is very near and dear to my heart that I don't always touch on here or on my social media is rescue animal advocacy.
Since I know many people are contemplating new family pets for the holidays, I want to share the importance of considering rescue. Each of the four rescue dogs I’ve adopted in my adult life have come with so many blessings (& personality & love) I never could’ve imagined how beautifully they could have impacted my life.
Someone recently said to me “they never stop saying thank you.” It is true. Lucé (shown in cover photo above) was adopted from @hopalonganimalrescue Oakland, CA & Blanca from @barbsdogrescue Puerto Peñasco, MX.
