Thank you for joining the ReFashioned Art LIVE Happy Hour Art Tour VII at my home! This week's happy hour art tour was a little different. This was week II of my Art Auction to raise money and awareness of racial equality. My takeaway from this week’s LIVE Art Tour- Don’t be afraid to dream BIG.
I could not have been more thrilled to partner with designer Sisi Aduke to raise awareness and raise money for the black lives matter movement. Not only did we auction art but we auctioned off this one of a kind dress. The dress went to local style icon Kim Ho and the funds went to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
Two paintings have sold and the funds have been donated to two black-owned non-profits: Black Girls Code in Oakland, CA and The Garment League in Phoenix, AZ.
This week was episode VII and if you can’t catch us LIVE on Instagram @iamlauramadden, please check out my YouTube channel and my Instagram for the replays.
As promised, I showed up with cocktail in hand, wearing a cocktail dress- this week a custom garment by Sisi Aduke, 100% cotton, made of Ankara fabric with African print.
Sisi Aduke is a Nigerian born designer based in Phoenix, AZ, which is also being auctioned off. I will match & donate 100% of the sale of this dress. Auction closes Monday, 6/15, midnight PST.
I shared 7 pieces of ReFashioned Art that I am auctioning off to raise money and raise awareness of the black lives matter movement. I am using my art as a means to not only raise money for the movement but to raise greater awareness of the importance of racial equality and to bring people together the best I can.
I will match and donate 100% of the sale of each piece, with proceeds going to a racial equality foundation or fund of the buyer's choice. NAME YOUR PRICE.
